Four chefs, four Saturdays
This Ramadan, Soul Kitchen is doing things differently. Instead of a single set menu, the Dubai favourite is turning the Holy Month into a chef-led culinary series, inviting four standout chefs to take over the kitchen across four Saturdays. Think long-table Iftars, a special late-night Suhoor and flavours that travel from Palestine to Peru, Jordan to Mexico – all under one soulful roof.
Kicking off the month on Thursday 19 February, Soul Kitchen opens its Ramadan programme with Chef Ahmad Halawa, the Dubai-based supper club favourite known for his nostalgic Jordanian-Palestinian cooking. Expect a generous Iftar inspired by Levantine hospitality, with much-loved dishes such as musakhan, maqloubeh and his cult-status knafeh served family-style across a long communal table.

On Saturday, 28 February, the baton passes to Chef Andreé Núñez, who brings bold Peruvian flavours and playful creativity to the Iftar table. Known for his vibrant approach to South American cuisine, Núñez’s menu promises colour, punch and a festive energy that feels perfectly timed for a Ramadan gathering with friends.
Midway through the month, the focus shifts to Suhoor. On Saturday, 7 March, acclaimed Amman-based chef Sara Aqel of Dara Dining hosts a late-night Suhoor inspired by Mediterranean flavours and modern technique. Light yet comforting, her menu is designed for lingering conversations as the city winds down.

On the same evening, Soul Kitchen will also host a Ramadan Market from 6pm to midnight, spotlighting seven home-grown brands and giving diners the chance to support local creatives before or after their meal.
The series comes to a high-spirited close on Saturday, 14 March, with Tacos Los Hermanos taking over the kitchen for the final Iftar of Ramadan. Expect a full-flavoured Mexican feast featuring birria tacos with rich consomé, carne asada, chicken tinga, Baja-style fish and vibrant vegetarian options – all served with the brothers’ signature street-style flair.

More than just a place to break fast, Soul Kitchen’s Ramadan programme celebrates culture, collaboration and community. With limited seats and a rotating line-up of chefs, this is one chef-led iftar series put together with heart that feels personal, considered and very much in the spirit of the season.
