A MICHELIN Affair in Doha: IDAM x Chef Guillaume Galliot

Two incredible nights in the Qatari capital

This month, the Qatari capital sets the stage for one of its most anticipated fine dining moments. Inside the soaring interiors of the Museum of Islamic Art, IDAM by Alain Ducasse will host a two-night collaboration with Chef Guillaume Galliot, Executive Chef of the three-MICHELIN-starred Caprice in Hong Kong, alongside Chef Fabrice Rosso, IDAM’s own MICHELIN-Starred Executive Chef.

Taking place on 23 and 24 October, the event is more than a culinary rendezvous – it’s a meeting of philosophies, techniques, and traditions that celebrates the elegance of French gastronomy through a global lens.

A Symphony of Cultures and Flavours

For this special collaboration, the chefs have composed a menu that tells a story of cultural connection. Classical French techniques intertwine with contemporary accents drawn from Asia’s most vibrant culinary traditions. Each dish is designed to awaken the senses: the zesty brightness of sudachi lime, the delicate spice of timut pepper, the aromatic depth of laksa, and the richness of tender beef.

The result is a menu that moves effortlessly between continents, where the precision of French haute cuisine meets the expressive warmth of Asian ingredients. It’s a dialogue of taste – modern, poetic, and distinctly memorable.

An Evening at the Museum

Set within the Museum of Islamic Art, the dining experience unfolds against one of Doha’s most breathtaking backdrops. As the sun sets over the Corniche, the restaurant’s panoramic windows frame the city skyline in hues of gold and silver, offering guests a view as refined as the meal itself.

Within IDAM’s sleek interiors – where contemporary design meets Qatari craftsmanship – each course becomes part of a sensory narrative. The collaboration not only showcases the artistry of two world-class chefs but also reflects Doha’s growing reputation as a global destination for culture and cuisine.

Crafting Culture Through Cuisine

At its core, this collaboration embodies IDAM’s mission to bring together creativity, tradition, and innovation. The restaurant has long served as a bridge between worlds – French sophistication and Middle Eastern heritage, art and gastronomy, culture and craft.

Through initiatives like this, QC Enterprises (QC+) and Qatar Museums continue to position Qatar as a hub for artistic and culinary excellence, fostering cross-cultural exchange that extends beyond the plate.
