An Amalfi Affair: Il Gattopardo and Ristorante Lorelei Unite for a Culinary Journey

La Dolce Vita, right here in Dubai

This November, Dubai diners are invited to savour La Dolce Vita as Il Gattopardo joins hands with Ristorante Lorelei from Sorrento, Italy, for an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Taking place on 6 and 7 November, the two-night event marks the 16th edition of the Italian Gourmet Summit 2025, bringing the flavours, artistry, and romance of the Amalfi Coast to Dubai.

The collaboration unites two acclaimed chefs: Chef Ciro Sicignano, Executive Chef of the MICHELIN-starred Ristorante Lorelei, and Chef Massimo Pasquarelli, Culinary Director of Il Gattopardo. Together, they will craft a menu that captures the soul of Italy’s southern coastline – where time slows and every dish tells a story of the sea, sunshine, and timeless Italian elegance.

Guests may choose between a set menu curated by Chef Sicignano or create their own bespoke dining experience by blending Ristorante Lorelei’s refined creations with Il Gattopardo’s classic favourites.

The Flavours of Ristorante Lorelei

Chef Ciro Sicignano’s menu showcases his refined approach to balance and seasonality. Diners can expect dishes such as Gamberi, roasted red prawns with cuttlefish lard, cannellini beans and finger lime; Astice, a lobster gnocco paired with creamy burrata; and Ricciola, hazelnut-crusted amberjack with pomegranate and Sorrento lemon.

To conclude, desserts like C’Rock, a buffalo yoghurt cream tartlet with autumn salad and mountain herb sorbet, and Tortino, a Neapolitan espresso fondant with Amatika 35 per cent chocolate, apricot sorbet and lemon thyme, highlight the chef’s creativity and finesse.

Il Gattopardo’s Signature Classics

Chef Massimo Pasquarelli’s menu pays homage to Italy’s culinary heritage through rich and comforting flavours. The Zucca layers Delica pumpkin ricotta, Tuscan kale, caramelised nuts and pumpkin dressing.

The pasta course, Maltagliati, features slow-cooked beef cheek with beef jus and parmesan cream, while the Milanese presents a veal tomahawk complemented by anchovy cream and caper and lemon brown butter. To finish, the classic Tiramisù – crafted with lady fingers, mascarpone cream and a bold espresso infusion – offers a quintessentially Italian finale.

Guests can look forward to two exquisite evenings where every dish tells a story, and every flavour evokes the beauty and romance of Italy’s most enchanting shoreline.
