Dubai’s cultural calendar is getting a meaningful addition this April with Create for Change, a one-day event blending art, storytelling, food and performance — all to celebrate Lebanon. Taking place on April 19 from 10am to 6pm at One Life Kitchen & Café, the event invites the community to come together for a day rooted in creativity and connection.
Expect a thoughtfully curated programme spanning art workshops, film screenings, live performances, retail pop-ups and plenty of good food. Whether you’re dropping by for a hands-on session or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the day is designed to be immersive, inclusive and impactful.
The event is organised by Samar and Angela, the creative duo behind Artful — a platform built on the belief that play isn’t just for children, but for everyone. Born from their own journeys as mothers, Artful was created to nurture creativity, encourage self-expression and foster meaningful connections through play.

What started as intimate sessions for children and parents has grown into a wider offering of workshops and community gatherings catering to all ages. From young explorers to adults looking to reconnect with their creative side, Artful’s approach is centred on curiosity, growth and shared experiences.
Visitors can look forward to a dynamic mix of activities throughout the day. Think interactive art stations, storytelling corners, films, and live performances that bring together voices from across the community. A curated retail section will also spotlight local creatives and brands, making it easy to interact with small businesses while discovering something unique.
Food, naturally, plays a key role too — with One Life Kitchen & Café providing the perfect laid-back setting to spend the day moving between experiences, conversations and creative moments.
More than just an event, Create for Change is a platform for solidarity — using art and culture as tools to spark dialogue and celebrate Lebanon during this difficult times. It’s about coming together, sharing stories and creating something meaningful as a community – for humanity.
