Moonrise Hits Pause to Introduce Moonrise & Friends

A new collaboration series, for the community

One of Dubai’s most creative fine-dining spots is pressing pause – temporarily. Moonrise has announced it will put its usual tasting menu format on hold to introduce Moonrise & Friends, a new collaboration series designed to bring a more relaxed, community-driven energy to the space.

Rather than its typically intricate, high-concept menus, the restaurant is shifting gears to host a rotating line-up of chefs, brands and concepts from across the city. The idea? Keep the creativity, lose the formality, and invite diners to experience something a little more social.

Kicking things off is a collaboration with CarniStore – and it’s all about burgers. But don’t expect anything standard.

The debut edition centres around a three-course dry-aged burger tasting menu, built using a custom CarniStore blend that includes premium cuts like Angus short rib. The result is a deeply flavourful smash burger with crisp edges, juicy texture and a rich, savoury profile.

Alongside the main event, diners can expect elevated comfort sides and nostalgic touches, all delivered with Moonrise’s signature attention to detail. It’s indulgent, playful and polished – comfort food with a fine-dining twist.

Set on the rooftop, the experience leans into a more casual, laid-back atmosphere. Expect champagne from Perrier-Jouët, alongside cocktails and mocktails, making it as much about the vibe as it is about the food.

The shift in tone is intentional. Moonrise is reimagining its space as a place to gather, unwind and connect – without losing the creativity that built its reputation.

The first edition of Moonrise & Friends runs daily from Tuesday, March 17 until March 31, from 5pm until late. With limited seating available each evening, bookings are essential. The experience is designed to be accessible while still offering something distinctly special.

This isn’t a one-off. Moonrise plans to introduce a new collaboration every two weeks, each bringing a fresh concept to the space until the restaurant eventually returns to its original format.

For now, though, it’s all about burgers, rooftops and a more relaxed take on one of Dubai’s most exciting dining destinations.
