Nara unveils ‘One, By Nature’ this Ramadan

Stillness and shared moments

As Ramadan approaches, Nara is reimagining Iftar with a quieter, more thoughtful take on togetherness. Launching One, By Nature, the desert dining destination invites guests to slow down, gather and reconnect under open skies, with a complementary experience also taking place on the water aboard Lady Nara.

Set within the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, evenings at Nara unfold gently from sunset. Guests are welcomed into a serene landscape where camel rides across the dunes, falcon displays at dusk, henna artistry and live oud music set an unhurried rhythm for the night. Firelight and soft illumination frame the experience, encouraging pause, reflection and meaningful connection rather than spectacle.

The Menu

The Iftar menu is designed around sharing, bringing together comforting regional flavours and slow-cooked favourites. Expect red lentil soup, classic mezze and fragrant chicken biryani, alongside stews such as slow-braised beef and prune tajine, chicken with olive and preserved lemon, and traditional lamb madfoon from the live stations. Desserts stay true to Ramadan classics, with kunafa, umm ali, Moroccan pâtisserie and premium dates closing the evening on a familiar, indulgent note.

For a different perspective, One, By Nature also extends onto the creek with Lady Nara. This tranquil Iftar voyage pairs calm waters and gentle lighting with a curated menu of Levantine salads, including tabbouleh and green lentil with pomegranate dressing, followed by sharing mains such as kofta and tomato tajine, vegetable tajine and lamb madfoon. Desserts are light and traditional, designed to unfold slowly as the boat glides along Ras Al Khor.

Those craving deeper quiet can opt to stay overnight at The Nest by Nara, a secluded, star-lit retreat that extends the evening into moments of rest and reflection, echoing the same spirit of stillness found at the Iftar itself.

One, By Nature runs throughout Ramadan at Nara Desert Escape, with Iftar served from 5.30pm to 9pm. In a season often defined by abundance, Nara’s Ramadan offering chooses something rarer: presence, empathy and the simple luxury of coming together as one.
