Salmon Guru Dubai is stepping out of its neon-lit lair and heading straight for the sand. For one weekend only — Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December — the award-winning cocktail bar is transforming Sunkssd at Lumi Beach, Umm Al Quwain, into a full-blown seaside spectacle.
Running from 10am to 11pm, the takeover promises the brand’s trademark mix of theatrical mixology, playful chaos, and ‘did-that-just-happen?’ moments. Expect cocktails served in everything from sharks to comic-inspired figurines, surprise theatrics, and the full Dubai team — Elie, Andri, MJ, Tonny and Paul — shaking and stirring under the UAE sun.

Entry comes at AED 150 online or AED 175 on the door, and advance booking is strongly encouraged — because the only thing wilder than a Salmon Guru drink is the queue for one.

Guests can book day-specific tickets online, with separate links for Saturday and Sunday. Once through the gates, it’s all about leaning into the madness: boozy pearls, cheeky glassware, and cocktails that arrive looking like props from another dimension.
This isn’t just a beach pop-up. It’s a full-scale Guru party, just with more sunscreen.
The Guru Behind the Madness
For the uninitiated, Salmon Guru was born in Madrid in 2016, dreamed up by mixology legend Diego Cabrera. Since then, the bar has become a fixture on the World’s 50 Best Bars list — reaching as high as #15 in 2022 and holding strong at #23 in 2024 — as well as being crowned Best Bar in Spain.
The Dubai outpost, located at The Opus by Omniyat in Business Bay, carries over the brand’s offbeat identity across three immersive zones: a retro tropical bar, an Asian night-market fantasy, and a walk-in comic book — interiors that have never been seen anywhere else in the Middle East.
In 2024, the brand expanded further with Salmon Guru Milano, bringing its rebellious spirit and boundary-pushing cocktails to Italy.
