Dining, with a side of fragrance
Dubai’s Ramadan dining scene is getting a sensorial upgrade, as The Lana, Dorchester Collection, teams up with cult UAE fragrance brand KAYALI for an exclusive Majlis experience overlooking Marasi Bay.
For Ramadan 2026, The Lana is collaborating with KAYALI, founded by Mona Kattan, to introduce the KAYALI Majlis – an open-air, fragrance-inspired setting housed in Veranda, the hotel’s tranquil courtyard. Designed as a scented garden under the stars, the space blends refined hospitality with the warmth and togetherness synonymous with the holy month.

Inspired by KAYALI’s Freedom Collection, the Majlis weaves together soft lighting, floral accents and layered aromas, creating a calm yet elevated environment made for lingering conversations after sunset.
At the heart of the experience is a thoughtfully curated Iftar menu by Chef Jouni Ibrahim, who has translated the Freedom Collection’s signature notes – including orange blossom, sandalwood, pink pepper and floral accords – into a flavour-driven dining journey.
The buffet and sharing-style Iftar features hot and cold mezze, comforting soups, sushi and sashimi platters, Arabic mixed grill, ouzi, truffle pasta and an assortment of Middle Eastern desserts. The evening is complemented by premium Arabic coffee, refreshing beverages, soft live entertainment, shisha and traditional games.

Beyond the KAYALI Majlis, The Lana’s dining venues are also marking Ramadan with special set menus, offering a more intimate take on Iftar and Suhoor.
Jara by MartÃn Berasategui, the Michelin-selected restaurant on the 18th floor, presents a Basque-inspired Iftar menu crafted by the celebrated chef himself. Highlights include signature gazpacho, croquettes, braised Wagyu cheeks, fish of the day and a decadent torrija dessert, all served against sweeping skyline views.
