The MICHELIN Guide Food Festival is Coming to the Capital this November

The festival returns for a third edition

The MICHELIN Guide Food Festival is landing in Abu Dhabi into the grounds of the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental soon, visitors are in for a treat. Running from 21 to 23 November, the three-day long celebration of global cuisine is brought to you in partnership with Experience Abu Dhabi, the destination brand of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

Acclaimed regional and international chefs from 20 MICHELIN-select restaurants will come together to celebrate and honour the art of dining, of which 10 international spots will be making their Abu Dhabi debut. Think specially curated menus, exclusive limited-time only dishes, six- and eight-hands dinners, culinary masterclasses to engage and educate and a buzzing marketplace featuring local producers.

The programme has been designed with something in mind for the entire family, with something for every age, palette and occasion. Family-friendly activities like kids’ cooking workshops and Plant & Pot herb sessions will also be taking place. From 4pm to midnight, live music and entertainment are slated to keep the energy running. There is also a Michelin Guide Café on site and offers à la carte dining and takeaway.

The Line-up

From the Abu Dhabi lot, restaurants participating include Talea, Hakkasan, ťazal, Ryba, Mika, Otoro, Mijana, Butcher & Still, Bord’eau by Nicolas Island and Namak. The festival also shines a light on exciting homegrown producers like Mirzam Chocolate, Dibba Bay Oysters, Yalla Kombucha, Pure Harvest and BloomSpoon.

On the international front, from Switzerland comes two MICHELIN-starred The Counter, while Shanghai’s three-star Taian Table showcases modern European dishes with Asian touches. Singapore’s Thevar is bringing the Indian heat, Anăn Saigon reinvents Vietnamese street food, Interstellar BBQ from Texas will be serving smoked, meaty goodness and Tokyo favourite Yakitori Abe will be perfecting charred skewers.
