Back for a brand new season
Dubai’s beloved open-air dining destination, The Square at Nad Al Sheba Gardens, has reopened just in time for the city’s breezier months. After welcoming more than 680,000 visitors in its debut season, the community-minded plaza returns with a refreshed roster of restaurants, upgraded landscaping and a renewed focus on culture, creativity and connection.
Designed as a walkable cluster of restaurants and cafés, The Square brings back the relaxed, alfresco charm that made it a staple for families, food lovers and weekend wanderers. Season Two doubles down on quality rather than scale, introducing new dining concepts and enhancements including lush greenery, serene water features, a koi pond, more shaded seating, and expanded space for community activations. Parking for 550 cars keeps things stress-free.
From Japanese hand rolls to homely bakeshop favourites, The Square’s refreshed mix celebrates homegrown talent, international names and everything in between.
Asma Restaurant
Asma returns with the social dining style Dubai knows and loves—think sharing plates, fragrant rice bowls and charcoal-kissed proteins built for long lunches and generous spreads. Perfect for sunlit afternoons and big group catch-ups, it remains one of the plaza’s most easygoing yet exciting spots.
Cipriani Dolci
A new arrival this season, Cipriani Dolci brings sleek Venetian elegance to Nad Al Sheba. Expect delicate pastries, silky coffees and signature Cipriani dishes served with the brand’s iconic attention to detail. Desserts stay light and classic, all rooted in timeless Italian style.
Home Bakery Kitchen
Comfort is the keyword here. From strong morning coffee and eggs to flaky croissants, cookies and afternoon pastries, Home Bakery Kitchen blends the warmth of a neighbourhood café with the craft of a serious bakery. Expect homely plates and all-day favourites.
Kokoro Hand Roll Bar
UAE’s first dedicated hand roll bar is back with its counter-style format and crisp-on-delivery seaweed. Fish is flown in from Japan twice a week, ensuring warm rice, sharp precision and immaculate flavour across toro, salmon and signature rolls.
Maxzi – The Good Food Shop
A new wholesome entrant, Maxzi champions clean, conscious cuisine with traceable ingredients. Expect high-quality produce, feel-good dishes and a menu built around transparency and freshness.
Omar Odali
Dessert lovers, this one’s for you. Omar Odali takes knafeh seriously—crispy, gooey, hot and syrupy in all the right places. Mint tea pairs perfectly with its signature plates, alongside a selection of regional sweets worthy of late-night strolls around the plaza.
Public
Public continues to draw the all-day crowd with its modern comfort food. From pizzas and pastas to tiramisu spooned table-side and scoops of gelato, it’s approachable, lively and always reliable. Evenings see the space come alive with a younger, buzzing crowd.
SLRP
From the team behind 3Fils and BRIX, SLRP brings Japanese street-food energy to The Square. Expect rich ramen broths, kushiyaki skewers, crisp hand rolls and quick “grabs” ideal for wandering through the garden-style venue.
The Square is open daily, 4pm to 12am, with a refreshed mix of homegrown gems and international favourites. The Square ushers in Dubai’s cool season with style – proving once again why it remains one of the city’s essential outdoor destinations.
