Cult sourdough slices, new location
Dubai’s much-loved sourdough specialist, Blu Pizzeria, is opening the doors to its newest outpost in Nad Al Sheba this January — and it’s arriving with a pizza you won’t find anywhere else. Created exclusively for the neighbourhood, the Nad Al Sheba Pizza stars premium Black Angus beef, seasoned with aromatic Arabic spices and finished with a subtle drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Founded by Emirati entrepreneur Abdelrahman Alteneiji, Blu has built a loyal following by marrying traditional Neapolitan techniques with bold Middle Eastern flavours. What began as a modest pop-up in Umm Suqeim Park has grown into one of the UAE’s most recognisable homegrown pizza brands.
From Naples to Nad Al Sheba
Blu’s expansion into Nad Al Sheba follows a steady growth across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, with each location designed as a relaxed, neighbourhood-style space. The new restaurant leans into a calm, minimal aesthetic, with warm neutral tones, natural textures and an open kitchen that puts the wood-fired oven centre stage.

It’s a setting designed for families, friends and lingering lunches — the kind of place where pizza is as much about connection as it is about crust.
Alongside the new Nad Al Sheba Pizza, the menu keeps Blu regulars happy with its signature line-up of sourdough classics. Expect light, airy bases with a perfectly charred edge, including the much-loved Short Ribs Pizza and other staples that have helped define the brand’s cult status.
Each pizza is wood-fired and made with freshly prepared sourdough, staying true to Blu’s philosophy of simplicity, quality ingredients and careful craftsmanship.
Inspired by Nature
The Nad Al Sheba interior has been conceptualised and executed by Movs Studio, drawing inspiration from mountain landscapes and translating them into a modern urban setting. Natural stone and wood sit against raw concrete, while a striking sculptural travertine bar cuts diagonally through the space, acting as the restaurant’s architectural focal point.

The result is serene yet contemporary — a visual reflection of Blu’s balance between tradition and modernity.
“What started as a small pop-up has now grown into a community,” says founder Abdelrahman Alteneiji. “Nad Al Sheba is another chance to share our sourdough craft and the flavours that define Blu with a wider audience.”
With international launches planned for London, New York and Los Angeles, Blu Pizzeria’s Nad Al Sheba opening marks another confident step in taking a Dubai-born concept to the global stage — one perfectly charred slice at a time.
