Time Out Market Dubai is rounding off January in delicious style with an exclusive Wine & Dine evening led by Chef Omar Rodriguez of Slab Cocina. Taking place on Thursday 29 January. This intimate, eight-seat dinner promises a refined yet relaxed night of bold flavours, top-tier wines and interactive fun — the kind of event food lovers live for. Hosted at The Editor’s Table, the experience includes a multi-course menu with eight curated wine pairings, plus a welcome drink on arrival.

A Journey Across the Americas

Chef Omar Rodriguez is known for Slab Cocina’s confident, flavour-led approach, and this one-off menu is no exception. Expect a culinary journey across the Americas, with dishes inspired by Peruvian ceviche, Mexican tacos and other regional classics, all reimagined with seasonal produce and subtle Middle Eastern touches. Each course is designed to complement its paired wine, creating a seamless balance between plate and glass.

Guided by Sommeliers

What sets this dinner apart is its interactive edge. Throughout the evening, expert sommeliers will guide guests through each pairing, sharing insights into flavour profiles, grape varieties and why each wine works with the dish.

And then comes the twist: diners will vote for the best wine pairing of the night. By the end of the evening, one sommelier will be crowned the winner — adding a playful, competitive note to an otherwise elegant affair.
