Coffee and couture
Fashion meets dessert this week as Dolce&Gabbana teams up with Alserkal Avenue’s beloved bkry for a six-day pop-up, running from 28 November to 3 December.
Forget mannequins. Dolce&Gabbana’s latest accessory — the My Sicily bag — will be displayed throughout the bakery, transforming the space into a mini style gallery. Think bold Italian flair against industrial Alserkal cool, all while customers sip, snack and snap away.
The bag itself is a love letter to the brand’s heritage: refined, structured and unmistakably Sicilian. Yes, you can get up close, and to honour the collaboration, bkry has created two limited-edition treats inspired by Italy’s classic flavours.
The Tiramisu Affogato is a creamy, caffeine-kissed ode to the country’s most iconic dessert, while the Pistachio Latte is sweet, nutty and Sicilian to its core. Both were developed by bkry Co-Founder and Head Pastry Chef Kameel Rasyid Eril, drawing from his recent travels and the dessert that sparked the entire idea.
This collaboration celebrates Dubai’s flair for unexpected cultural mashups — a luxury fashion house partnering with a homegrown bakery rooted in craftsmanship, community and everyday indulgence. It’s playful, accessible and very photogenic.
Expect Alserkal Avenue to be buzzing, especially over the National Day long weekend, making this a fun stop between galleries, coffee runs and urban explorations. Whether you’re a fashion follower, dessert enthusiast or simply need a new weekend plan, this pop-up blends two Dubai obsessions — coffee culture and couture. It’s a chance to indulge, browse and celebrate creativity in one of the city’s most exciting cultural districts.
