This weekend, where it all began
Say hello to Bayt Al Karak – it’s unlike anything you’ve experienced in Dubai.
Brought to you by The Karak®, in collaboration with Bassmati and The Green Room, Dubai’s leading collective spotlighting third-culture communities through music, design, and storytelling, this is coming together of all the best bits about third-culture life in Dubai, and will take place at Sabaa at the Hilton Heritage Hotel in Al Seef – the docks of which have seen many an immigrant step into the land of dreams before the skyline bloomed on the horizon.
One upon a time, Al Seef was the landing point for the incoming international community in Dubai. Located by the Dubai Creek, one the trade and commerce lifeline of the city, it welcomed travellers and traders, many of whom have made a home here. Today, it carries that same palpable energy, fanned by a new generation that grew up between cultures.
Bayt Al Karak is a love letter to the creatives of this community, motivated by The Karak®’s desire to spotlight regional talent, give it a bigger platform, a bigger audience, and shift the lens inwards. We have a wealth of creativity right here, in our living room.
“Karak has always been about telling the city’s story through the lens of the people who grew up in between,” says Faizal Razak, Creative Director and Co-founder of The Karak®, and Satwa-bred. “To return to Al Seef is more than symbolic, it’s a full-circle moment.”
