For sultry Dubai summers
Dubai knows how to do grand dining, but some restaurants go beyond great food and become destinations in their own right. From soaring greenhouse-style brasseries and glamorous Art Deco dining rooms to underwater marvels and opulent Mediterranean hideaways, these are the city’s most beautiful indoor restaurants to dine at this summer where the design is every bit as memorable as what’s on the menu.
Alaya
Hidden within DIFC’s Gate Village, Alaya is a masterclass in modern Middle Eastern glamour. Deep ruby-red tones, antique gold accents and dramatic abstract artworks create a richly layered setting, while towering arrangements of colourful pampas grass add theatrical flair. The gilded bar and ornate coffered ceiling complete one of Dubai’s most seductive dining rooms.
Amazónico
A tropical fantasy in the heart of DIFC, Amazónico brings the spirit of South America indoors through lush rainforest-inspired design. Cascading greenery covers the ceiling, exotic prints decorate every corner and colourful details channel the glamour of Rio de Janeiro. It’s immersive without ever feeling overdone.
Bisou
Located within Dubai Opera, Bisou is one of the city’s most romantic restaurants. Designed by Tristan Du Plessis, the space blends French elegance with Arabic storytelling through crystal chandeliers, floating lanterns, monochrome marble and blush-pink velvet seating. The sweeping staircase alone is worth the visit.
China Tang
Overlooking the waterfront at The Lana Promenade, China Tang channels the glamour of 1930s Shanghai through sophisticated Art Deco interiors. Spread across two levels, the restaurant combines rich materials, elegant detailing and timeless Cantonese refinement, creating a space that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Eugène Eugène
A hidden gem atop Mall of the Emirates, Eugène Eugène feels like dining inside an elegant European greenhouse. Towering glass ceilings, abundant greenery and a striking green marble bar create a light-filled oasis by day, while warm lighting and intimate booths transform the space after dark.
Flamingo Room
With views over Jumeirah Al Naseem’s turtle lagoon, Flamingo Room captures the spirit of Africa through sophisticated design. Brass-framed doors, sculptural baobab-inspired lighting and a palette of blush pink, gold and turquoise combine to create one of Dubai’s most distinctive dining spaces.
Gloria Osteria
Channeling 1970s Milan, Gloria Osteria leans into playful retro Italian design — warm tones, statement décor and a lively, convivial atmosphere that feels straight out of a vintage film set.
Jamavar
A refined take on Indian cuisine inspired by royal kitchens. Expect elegant interiors, layered flavours and a menu that travels from North India to the southern coast in the heart of Downtown Dubai.
Kira
One of the standout venues at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Kira takes inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi. Gold detailing flows throughout the restaurant, from dramatic chandeliers to ornate bar features, while sculptural petal-like panels climb walls and ceilings, creating an elegant and contemporary setting.
La Niña
Nestled within ICD Brookfield Place, La Niña celebrates Iberian craftsmanship through hand-painted Portuguese azulejo tiles, dramatic chandeliers and dark timber finishes. The result is a sophisticated and transportive dining room that feels worlds away from DIFC’s corporate surroundings.
Leña
Chef Dani Garcia’s acclaimed steakhouse, Leña is a tribute to fire and craftsmanship. Burnt-orange banquettes, copper accents and swirling timber ceilings designed to mimic dancing flames create an atmospheric space that feels both dramatic and inviting.
Ling Ling
Perched high above the city, LING LING delivers sensory theatre through its eclectic Asian-inspired design. The centrepiece is the spectacular Tree of Life sculpture, crafted from scarred oak heartwood, copper foliage and brass detailing, anchoring one of Dubai’s most visually striking dining rooms.
Maison Revka
Step inside Maison Revka and you’ll find yourself transported to an aristocratic Parisian townhouse. Antique rugs, stained-glass windows, floral fabrics and soaring double-height ceilings create a lavish yet intimate atmosphere inspired by old-world European glamour.
MEI
Overlooking the waterways of Madinat Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab, MEI offers a sophisticated atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from dinner to late-night lounge. With its striking interiors and elevated Pan-Asian dining experience, MEI has quickly become one of Dubai’s standout new dining destinations.
Ossiano
For sheer wow factor, few restaurants can compete with OSSIANO. Located within Atlantis The Palm, diners sit beside a floor-to-ceiling aquarium where marine life glides past throughout the meal. It’s one of the most unique dining environments anywhere in the world.
Signor Sassi
Palm Jumeirah favourite Signor Sassi channels timeless Italian sophistication. Inside, dark wood panelling, art deco mirrors, patterned flooring and statement lighting evoke the atmosphere of an exclusive members’ club, while maintaining a warm and welcoming feel.
Soul Kitchen
More than a restaurant, Soul Kitchen is an immersive artistic experience. The Beirut-born concept is filled with meaningful installations exploring migration, identity and resilience, making it one of Dubai’s most culturally rich dining destinations.
The Guild
A grand European-inspired dining destination in DIFC, The Guild unfolds across multiple spaces including a brasserie, seafood room, piano bar and patisserie. Crystal chandeliers, open-fire kitchens, red-brick detailing and a dramatic living rockpool create one of the city’s most ambitious restaurant interiors.
