A fresh milestone
Dubai’s love affair with authentic Neapolitan pizza has another reason to celebrate. Chef Roberta De Sario, Head Chef at FALCONE, has climbed to No. 63 in The Best Pizza Awards 2026, rising 22 places from her previous No. 85 ranking and further cementing her place among the world’s leading pizzaiolos.
Born and raised in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, Chef Roberta has spent more than a decade perfecting the art of Neapolitan pizza. Her career has taken her through some of the world’s most respected kitchens, including the iconic Pizzeria Da Michele Condurro, before working alongside renowned pizzaiolos such as Franco Pepe in Paris and Hong Kong.

Today, she leads the kitchen at FALCONE in Dubai, where her approach blends traditional Neapolitan techniques with a modern touch, all while staying true to the simplicity and craftsmanship that define great pizza.
The latest recognition adds to an impressive year for FALCONE. The Al Barsha favourite was recently named Highly Commended for Best Pizzeria at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards 2026, earning praise for its wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, warm hospitality and authentic Italian flavours.
The restaurant has quickly established itself as one of Dubai’s standout Italian dining destinations, bringing a slice of Naples to the city with handmade pasta, freshly churned gelato and pizzas baked in custom Pavesi ovens.

Reflecting on the achievement, Chef Roberta described the ranking as a reward for years of dedication to the traditions of her hometown.
She said the recognition was particularly meaningful because it represented her journey in pizza-making and was something she shared with the entire FALCONE team, adding that being recognised alongside some of the world’s best pizzaiolos was a true honour.
For Dubai diners, it is another reminder that one of the world’s top pizza chefs is serving up award-winning slices right here in the city.
