Coming soon
Dubai is getting a new spot for Lebanese comfort food. Bayroot Deli is set to open on Sheikh Zayed Road on September 12, serving up a modern take on the Lebanese deli.
Located at Aspin Commercial Tower, the 56-seat restaurant will span two floors and is designed for everything from a quick lunch to a late-night bite. It will be open 11am to 6am, seven days a week, making it a particularly handy option for night owls.

The menu covers plenty of ground, with charcoal-grilled meats, flame-cooked dishes, mezze, sandwiches, bowls, salads and shawarma all making an appearance. Shawarma will be carved from the spit, while meats are cooked over fire and charcoal.
Rather than reinventing Lebanese cuisine, Bayroot Deli says its focus is on familiar dishes made with quality ingredients and homemade preparation. Olive oil, thyme and sumac are sourced from the founder’s family farms in Lebanon, adding a direct link to the flavours of home.

Dishes to look out for include Mlukhiyeh Bil Zeit, made with sautéed mlukhiyeh, lemon and garlic and topped with caramelised onions, alongside Flame Bowls combining fire-cooked meats, grains, vegetables, pickles and house-made sauces. For dessert, there’s Moufata’a Beirutiya, an Old Beirut sweet made with toasted flour, butter, spices and nuts, finished with honey and roasted seeds.

A Family Affair
Bayroot Deli comes from founder and culinary founder Fadi Almahaini and his mother, Hoda Altaki. Fadi’s connection to food began young, working at his family’s manakish bakery in Beirut from the age of 12 before going on to study hospitality and build experience across restaurants and hotels in Lebanon.
Now, the pair are bringing those family recipes and Lebanese traditions to Dubai – with a deli format designed for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.
Bayroot Deli opens September 12 on Sheikh Zayed Road. Expect Lebanese favourites, charcoal-fired cooking and plenty of late-night options.
