Check out these workshops
Want to know what goes on behind the counter at one of Dubai’s artisanal bakeries? bkry is inviting Nad Al Sheba residents to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
The homegrown bakery and café, founded by Chef Kameel Rasyid Eril, has launched a new monthly community workshop series at its Nad Al Sheba Mall branch. Following its first session in August, the workshops are set to become a regular fixture, giving locals the chance to learn from bkry’s bakers and baristas – and taste the results.

Sourdough, Pizza and Coffee
First up is Sourdough Making on Thursday 17 September, where Chef Anaiah Pretorius will take guests through the art of naturally fermented bread. Expect everything from flour selection and fermentation to shaping and baking, with plenty of opportunities to get hands-on.
Next, Pizza Making on Thursday 24 September will see Chef Mark Anthony Fernandes lead Crust Craft. Guests will stretch and top their own sourdough pizza dough while learning how fermentation and quality ingredients can transform the final crust.

Then, on Thursday 1 October, barista Pratama will host Notes in a Cup, a guided coffee tasting exploring bean origins, roast profiles and brewing methods.
For The Community
The series is designed to bring bkry’s regulars and the wider Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood closer to the craft behind its menu. Each workshop follows a simple format: learn, watch, taste and try it yourself.
The sessions are also aimed at local families, schools and residents’ groups, making them a hands-on introduction to the ingredients and techniques behind bread, pizza and coffee.

There’s no entry fee, but spaces are limited to keep things personal and interactive. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a waiting list once sessions fill up.
