COYA Dubai’s Mama Quilla Returns with Art, Dining and Purpose This May

Back for a second edition

On 1 May, beloved Peruvian spot COYA Dubai will host its annual Mama Quilla celebration, returning for another successful edition – an evening that blends contemporary art, Peruvian-inspired gastronomy and community-driven impact.

Held in partnership with Dubai Cares, the event forms part of a month-long initiative running until 13 May, inviting diners to contribute to global education efforts through curated dining experiences.

At the heart of the evening is an exclusive exhibition by RALMA Studio in collaboration with Emirati visual artist Reem Al Mazrouei. Known for her striking contemporary style, Al Mazrouei brings together elements of Emirati folklore with a surreal, modern aesthetic.

Created for the Mama Quilla initiative, the collection explores themes of identity, femininity and cultural continuity. Guests will have the opportunity to engage directly with the artist, gaining insight into the creative process behind the works.

The experience extends well beyond the gallery walls. Throughout the evening, guests can indulge in a specially curated Mama Quilla set menu alongside COYA’s signature dishes, all within the venue’s vibrant, Latin American-inspired setting.

In keeping with the initiative’s ethos, 15 per cent of proceeds from the evening – and select experiences such as the Afternoon Ritual – will be donated to Dubai Cares, supporting access to quality education for children and young people in developing countries.

Expect live music, curated entertainment and COYA’s signature high-energy atmosphere to bring the evening to life. But beyond the buzz, the event underscores a broader commitment to creating experiences that connect culture with impact.

Now in its second edition in the UAE, Mama Quilla continues to evolve into a platform where art, dining and philanthropy intersect – proving that a night out in Dubai can be as meaningful as it is memorable.
