Dubai’s independent food scene is getting its own moment this October as Curated Playlist returns with La Casa De Cherries, a three-day pop-up bringing together some of the region’s most exciting homegrown F&B brands.
Taking over Area 57 in Al Quoz from 2-4 October, the event will feature 10 independent food and drink businesses alongside a wider line-up of regional fashion, lifestyle and design labels.
Come Hungry
Foodies can expect plenty to snack on, with HALAPOP, the Middle East’s first prebiotic soda, joining the line-up alongside UNDERBAKE, known for its seriously chunky cookies, and UNKNOWN, home to one of Dubai’s viral bundt cakes.
Palestinian café pop-up MASRANA will also be serving its distinctive drinks and desserts, including Zaatar Laté, Meramiyeh and Um Ali, while Lighthouse brings one of the city’s established dining names to the independent-focused event.
For those with a sweet tooth, there’s plenty more to discover. PLAAY will be serving up better-for-you chocolates, Maitha Treats will showcase Emirati-inspired sweet treats, and Curame will bring its range of healthier indulgences. Cookie fans can also get their fix from Lyna’s, known for its gooey bakes.
The event is also designed as a chance to meet the founders behind the brands, discover their stories and experience the businesses shaping the region’s growing independent food scene.
Make a Day
Founded by Ghalia Gharbawi and Ingy Mansour, Curated Playlist has built a community around regional independent brands, creating spaces for emerging businesses to connect with new audiences.
Alongside the shopping and food, visitors can expect complimentary coffee, desserts and workshop experiences throughout the weekend.
