Your weekend plans, sorted
Dubai’s favourite weekend market is back at Dubai Police Academy Park, serving up street food, sweet treats and homegrown finds for its 15th season. Coffee in hand, something sweet within reach and plenty of food stalls to explore – this is another season of outdoor eating, independent shopping and family-friendly fun.
The new season opened in October, marking 15 years of bringing local businesses and the community together. While the market has plenty to tempt shoppers, food remains a major draw, with visitors able to graze their way through breakfast, street food and sweet treats while enjoying the outdoors.

Whether you fancy a leisurely morning coffee, a snack between browsing stalls or a laid-back lunch on the grass, this is one weekend outing that encourages you to take your time.
Arrive Hungry
Food is spread across the market, with options to suit early risers, hungry shoppers and families looking for an easy outdoor meal. Start with a freshly brewed coffee and breakfast, then work your way through the stalls for street food, baked goodies and other sweet treats.
The idea is simple: arrive hungry, have a wander and see what catches your eye. With plenty to explore, you can pick up a few bites from different vendors rather than committing to one big meal.

And if you prefer your weekends with a side of fresh air, there is room to settle down on the lawns and enjoy your finds at a slower pace.
Shop Local
Beyond the food stalls, The Ripe Market continues to champion homegrown businesses, with independent sellers offering everything from fashion and jewellery to homeware, artwork, beauty products and handmade gifts.
Fresh produce also has a place on the market’s menu. Hasabi Organic Farm Al Ain is among the returning vendors, bringing locally grown organic vegetables to shoppers. The farm has been part of the market for 12 years, giving visitors another reason to look beyond the usual supermarket shop.
With different businesses to discover and new finds around every corner, it is worth leaving some space in your shopping bag.

When you have finished eating, there is plenty to keep the rest of the family entertained. Children can enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, craft workshops, carnival games and a carousel, while live entertainment adds to the weekend atmosphere.
Free wellness sessions, including yoga, Pilates, sound healing and mindfulness, are also part of the season’s programme, offering a different way to spend a morning outdoors.
For Your Next Weekend Plan
The Ripe Market takes place at Dubai Police Academy Park in Umm Suqeim, with a minimal entry fee. The new season runs from October, giving residents plenty of weekends to plan a visit.

For the best experience, arrive early for coffee and breakfast before the crowds build, or visit later for a more leisurely browse and a bite to eat. Bring a reusable water bottle, comfortable shoes and a tote bag for any local produce or handmade treasures you find along the way.
