Sobremesa is introducing Staff Canteen, a brand-new weekly concept created exclusively for hospitality professionals and aviation crew. Launching on Wednesday 22 July, the initiative takes inspiration from the post-service culture of New York and London, offering an after-work space where the people behind Dubai’s dining scene can unwind together.
Running every Sunday to Tuesday, Staff Canteen serves up AED35 cocktails and wines alongside a curated AED35 food menu, available throughout the day for chefs, bartenders, waitstaff, hotel teams, cabin crew and other industry professionals.

Set inside Sobremesa at Souk Al Bahar, the concept is designed to foster community rather than simply offer discounted food and drinks. Whether it’s catching up with colleagues after a shift, meeting fellow hospitality workers or enjoying a meal on a day off, Staff Canteen aims to become a regular meeting point for those who spend their days creating memorable experiences for others.
Expect great food, drinks and a social atmosphere to renew your social battery, along with music and great vibes. As Dubai’s hospitality sector continues to expand, the venue hopes the weekly gathering will celebrate the people working behind the scenes while building a stronger sense of camaraderie across the industry.
