TRIO Cafe: Bringing Legacy to Jumeirah

Design-forward sips await

Dubai-born café brand TRIO is opening the doors to its newest Jumeirah outpost this October, bringing its signature design-led spaces, all-day menu and speciality coffee to Umm Suqeim. Opening today, the new outpost is located on 22nd Street in Umm Suqeim 2.

Founded by Emirati coffee expert Aysha Bin Huwaireb, TRIO has built its identity around the idea of three, with the concept appearing throughout its architecture, materials and menu – the overall experience.

New Spot, Same Story

The Jumeirah branch follows the same design language established at TRIO’s Dubai Mall flagship, bringing together three forms and three materials. The result is an interior designed to be recognisable even without the brand’s logo. The new café is designed for lingering, with an all-day menu that moves from breakfast through to dessert.

Expect everything from classic and indulgent breakfast dishes to savoury baos and toasts, alongside freshly baked viennoiserie and pastries from the in-house bakery. Sweet toasts and cold desserts are among TRIO’s signatures, while Emirati-inspired dishes and desserts nod to the founder’s childhood table.

Coffee remains at the heart of the offering, with guests able to choose their origin across the espresso menu or opt for single-origin V60 pour-overs, served hot or cold. There is also TRIO’s signature latte selection and its marble matcha range, which has developed a following of its own through the brand’s matcha-led sub-brand, Cult Matcha.

Why Jumeirah?

While Jumeirah stands as the original hotbed of Dubai’s earliest cafe culture, helping it foster and grow into the unique format of dining it offers today, it also holds a special place in the heart of the founding family. The area has been their home for many generations, since the time it was all but a fishing village perched by shore.

It is this familial connection that has brought the brand back, and interestingly, the space was originally opened in 2021 as TRIO’s first-ever location and drive-through. It has now been transformed into a full café experience, lending into a heartwarming, full-circle moment.

Beyond the Cup

TRIO has also taken its café concept beyond its permanent locations, with seasonal pop-ups at venues including the Abrahamic Family House, Qasr Al Hosn, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Khorfakkan Beach and Marsa Boulevard. Now, its latest opening brings that same sense of occasion to one of Dubai’s best-known café neighbourhoods.
