Plant-based goodness awaits
If you’ve been meaning to book a table at Avatara, now is the time. The MICHELIN-starred vegetarian restaurant in Dubai Hills Estate is offering its acclaimed 12-Course Experience for a limited time only, with the menu available until the end of summer.
Known for redefining vegetarian fine dining, Avatara has crafted a tasting menu that showcases the creativity and complexity of Indian cuisine without relying on meat substitutes. Instead, vegetables, fruits, grains and plant-based ingredients take centre stage through precise techniques, contemporary presentation and bold flavour combinations.

The journey opens with a delicate Yogurt course featuring saffron, sugar and cacao pod before moving into Wasabi Greens with daikon, mustard greens, ghevar and wasabi. Diners can also expect dishes such as Butternut with black lime and finger lime, Avocado paired with cumin and balsamic pearl, and Aloe Vera served alongside pomelo, kokum, coconut and watermelon.
Other highlights include Corn with tonburi, shishito and fenugreek, Banana with tamarind and curry leaf, and Asparagus complemented by pea protein, green garlic and bamboo shoot. The savoury courses continue with Onion, elevated by Byadagi chilli and star anise, before Passion Fruit combines rice grain, guava and raspberry chocolate.
The experience concludes with Jackfruit, teardrop peas and kaffir lime, followed by a dessert of Condensed Milk featuring bal mithai, mava, chocolate and sugarcane.

Every course reflects Avatara’s philosophy of putting vegetables at the forefront, allowing each ingredient to shine through thoughtful composition and refined technique. The result is a tasting menu that feels every bit as luxurious as traditional fine dining while remaining entirely vegetarian.
Leading the kitchen is Chef Omkar Walve, who was named the MICHELIN Guide Dubai Young Chef of the Year in 2023. This September, he will take on the role of Head Chef, continuing to shape the restaurant’s innovative approach to Indian vegetarian cuisine.
Avatara is open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, 6pm to 11pm, in Dubai Hills Estate. If it’s been on your foodie bucket list, this limited-time menu is the perfect excuse to book before summer comes to a close.
