One strip, nine concepts
J1 Beach is one of the most star-studded dining destinations in Dubai. From glamorous Riviera-inspired restaurants to boho Mexican hideaways and refined Middle Eastern terraces, the strip is packed with some of the city’s most talked-about venues. Whether you’re planning a long lunch, sunset cocktails or a dinner that turns into dancing, this stylish stretch of coastline has something for every mood.
African Queen
Straight from the French Riviera, African Queen brings Saint-Tropez glamour to Dubai’s coastline. Wrapped in jungle-chic interiors by Humbert & Poyet, the venue combines Mediterranean elegance with tropical warmth, complete with palm-framed terraces and sweeping sea views.
The menu leans into refined Riviera flavours, with fresh seafood, grilled meats and seasonal Mediterranean dishes taking centre stage. It’s the kind of place made for long lunches that effortlessly turn into sunset dinners. Expect sophisticated interiors, a chic beachside crowd and a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere.
Almayass by the Sea
A beloved Beirut-born institution, Almayass by the Sea brings Lebanese-Armenian flavours to the waterfront. The restaurant balances tradition with a breezy coastal aesthetic, creating a relaxed setting for leisurely meals by the sea.
Signature mezze and seafood dishes dominate the menu, with plenty designed for sharing. Whether you’re gathering with family or settling in for a laid-back lunch overlooking the water, this spot delivers comforting flavours rooted in heritage.
Bâoli
Part restaurant, part bar and part beach club, Bâoli is one of J1 Beach’s liveliest addresses. Already famous in Miami and Cannes, the Dubai outpost mixes coastal French and Mediterranean flavours with subtle Japanese influences.
Inside, sanctuary-style interiors meet a glamorous social atmosphere, while the menu covers everything from sashimi and robata skewers to premium steaks designed for sharing. Come for dinner, stay for cocktails and expect the energy to ramp up well into the night.
Gigi Rigolatto
Italian beach-house glamour takes centre stage at Gigi Rigolatto. Located directly on J1 Beach, the venue combines a private beach, pool, Bellini Bar and lush garden dining space into one polished destination.
The menu keeps things classic and ingredient-focused, with dishes such as Vitello Tonnato, Gnocchi Al Pomodoro and fresh tuna plates showcasing simple Italian cooking done exceptionally well. Add live music, elegant cabanas and a dedicated children’s club, and it’s easy to see why Gigi has quickly become one of Dubai’s most fashionable beachfront venues.
Gitano
Tulum-style escapism arrives in Dubai through Gitano’s tropical beach club concept. With mirror balls, jungle foliage, pink neon signs and bohemian interiors, the venue delivers a playful day-to-night experience inspired by Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
The food focuses on modern Mexican dishes including lobster tostadas, guacamole, birria and grilled seafood, while Fridays bring the venue’s popular Gypsy Disco nights. Whether you’re stretched out on a sunbed during the day or dancing after dinner, Gitano captures carefree beach-club energy perfectly.
Kaimana Beach
For Polynesian-inspired luxury, Kaimana Beach delivers laidback island vibes with a sophisticated edge. Designed around a chic central pool with tiki cabanas and bamboo detailing, the venue feels worlds away from the city skyline.
The menu, created by Michelin-recognised chef Michael Collantes, blends Hawaiian ingredients with Pan-Asian techniques. Expect inventive plates like escargot malasadas, braised beef cheek loco moco and tropical desserts. By sunset, resident DJs and live music transform the space into an upbeat beachfront hangout.
Ninive Beach
Middle Eastern elegance meets coastal luxury at Ninive Beach. Created by the team behind Ninive and Gigi Rigolatto, the venue combines earthy interiors, majlis-inspired details and ocean-facing terraces into a beautifully designed retreat.
The menu journeys through flavours from Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey and Iraq, with generous sharing plates ideal for group dining. Expect a more relaxed, refined atmosphere paired with cultural programming, rooftop lounging and regular DJ evenings.
Sakhalin
Helmed by acclaimed chef Vladimir Mukhin, Sakhalin Dubai brings together Mediterranean, Asian and Russian influences in a refined beachfront setting. Inspired by Sakhalin Island’s culinary heritage, the restaurant delivers one of the more unique dining experiences at J1 Beach.
Dishes range from artichoke carpaccio and octopus with romesco to koji miso chicken and delicate desserts like raspberry pavlova. Sophisticated interiors and sea views complete the polished fine-dining feel.
Sirene Beach by GAIA
Chef Izu Ani’s Sirene Beach by GAIA channels the glamour of the Greek islands through a sprawling beachfront venue complete with private cabanas, a pool and a 400-seat restaurant.
Mediterranean simplicity shapes the menu, with standout dishes including sea bream carpaccio, oyster platters and the restaurant’s popular frozen yoghurt dessert. Expect lively music programming, sunset sessions and an effortlessly chic crowd that keeps the venue buzzing from day to night.
