Traditions come alive
Navratri and Dussehra are bringing a colourful spread of Indian flavours to Mausam, where families can gather over a specially curated sharing menu from October 11 to 20.
The festive feast puts Satvik cuisine centre stage, with a selection of regional vegetarian dishes traditionally prepared without onion and garlic.

The Menu
The meal kicks off with Maharashtrian sago vada and tulsi paneer tikka, before moving on to hearty mains including paneer khurchan and raseela aloo arbi khaas.
The spread also includes samak chawal and kuttu aata ki puri, offering plenty to pass around the table. For dessert, makhana khajur basundi combines fox nuts, dates and dry fruits for a sweet finish.
Designed with sharing in mind, the menu taps into the spirit of Navratri and Dussehra, bringing regional Indian flavours together in one family-style feast.
The festive meal comes with a prime Dubai backdrop, too. Set inside Dubai Mall, Mausam overlooks the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa, making it a fitting spot for a celebratory family meal.

The Nine Days of Navratri
Spanning nine nights and 10 days, the festival of Navratri traces it’s origins back to the subcontinent, where the Hindu community comes together to venerate the nine different forms of the divine feminine deities. This is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil. The last day is marked as Dussehra – the ultimate victory of righteousness.

The celebrations are grand, across many pockets, with dance, music and family. On the food front, patrons adopt Satvik bhojan – a plant-based diet that presents the food in the purest form possible. This food system is rooted in Ayurvedic traditions and is prepared mindfully to encourage well-being, peace and mental clarity.
The word sattvic comes from sattva, a Sanskrit term meaning purity, balance, and harmony.
