Welcome to our first ever supper club series

Our publication is, and has always been, about community.

We started off trying to create a space for the very best and brightest of our own, to tell their stories, to amplify their voices and most importantly, to mobilise the foodie folk of the city. A Good Dinner by nom:me x CarniStore is our first, humble attempt at taking that intention further.

Taking place every Tuesday for three consecutive weeks, A Good Dinner brings together three chefs, three nights and incredible off-menu creations that you won’t be able to sample otherwise – at CarniStore, Warehouse 6A in Alserkal Avenue. This is a supper club series for all, open to whoever comes in search of a chef’s legend, a venue’s charm or simply a great, memorable meal.

The Stars

The first collaboration will take place on 28 April, with a showcase by Chef Daniel Birk, leading the kitchens at the critically acclaimed, highly beloved Row on 45 and City Social by Jason Atherton – the former a fine dining force and one of the most coveted, audacious tasting menus of Dubai, and the latter a MICHELIN-recommended, European-inspired hotspot.

The second dinner, taking place on 5 May, will feature Chef Hadrien Villedieu of Chez Wam – French slang for ‘Chez Moi’, meaning ‘At Mine’. French by design, inspired by Chef Hadrien’s travels around the world, with his favourite techniques, ingredients and methods, all under one roof.

The third night, 12 May, will bring a true force of Peruvian cuisine in Dubai, Chef Penelope Diaz to the forefront. Chef, founder and everywoman of Fusion Ceviche, she presents arguably the most sought-after ceviche in the city.
