Dubai’s independent food scene is getting another collaborative shake-up as Sa’Cha by Pang welcomes LahKee for two nights of dining on September 25 and 26.
The Dubai Creek Harbour restaurant will host LahKee’s Chef Patron Mark Calbay and Head Chef Mary Calbay alongside Sa’Cha co-founder and brand chef Nicolas Badran and co-founder Pang. Together, the four chefs will create a six-course omakase exclusively for the collaboration.
Rather than a traditional guest chef takeover, Sa’Cha Gets LahKee is being billed as an exchange between two independent Dubai kitchens, with each chef bringing their own memories, influences and techniques to the table.
Latin-Asian Meets Comfort food
The menu will bring together Sa’Cha’s Latin-Asian identity with LahKee’s Filipino, Japanese and Chinese influences.
Expect bold, vibrant flavours and Asian precision from Sa’Cha alongside LahKee’s nostalgic take on Asian comfort food. According to the restaurant, the six-course menu will move through citrus-led, umami-rich and deeply savoury flavours.
Sa’Cha was founded by Malaysian-born chef Pang and Colombian-born Nicolas Badran, with the restaurant drawing on Asian techniques and Latin American flavours. Pang’s career includes stints with COYA and SUSHISAMBA, while Badran has worked in kitchens including Astrid y Gastón in Lima, Manko Paris and SUSHISAMBA Dubai.
LahKee, meanwhile, is led by husband-and-wife chefs Mark and Mary Calbay and focuses on Asian-forward comfort food inspired by Filipino, Japanese and Chinese cooking, with nostalgia and contemporary technique at its heart.

The Sa’Cha Gets LahKee six-course omakase takes place on Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26, with sittings from 7pm to 9pm and 9.30pm until late.
