Blind tasting brews
If you’ve ever wondered why the same coffee can taste completely different depending on who brews it, Hoof has a new experience that promises to answer exactly that.
The specialty coffee brand is launching Unlabelled, a new monthly coffee series designed to help guests discover coffee beyond their usual flat white or latte. Rolling out across Hoof cafés in the UAE, the experience brings together guided coffee cuppings, blind tastings and conversations led by the brand’s expert baristas.
Rather than focusing on labels or origin names, guests will taste coffees blind, compare flavour notes and learn how factors such as origin, processing and brewing methods shape every cup. Whether you’re a seasoned coffee enthusiast or simply looking to sharpen your palate, the sessions are designed to be welcoming and interactive.
The series kicks off on Wednesday, July 22 at Hoof, Grove Village in Ras Al Khaimah, with guests able to register through Hoof’s social media channels or in-store.
Future editions are already lined up, including Wednesday, August 26 at Hoof Misk, Sharjah, followed by a Dubai edition on Wednesday, September 23, with the venue to be announced. From September onwards, Unlabelled will continue as a monthly series, with new themes and locations revealed throughout the year.
The new concept builds on the success of Hoof’s earlier Unlabelled Blind Coffee Tasting Experience, where guests sampled coffees without knowing their origins or profiles, encouraging conversation and fresh perspectives around every brew.
Founded in Sharjah in 2018, Hoof has built a loyal following for its speciality coffee, with beans sourced from 13 countries and roasted by its sister brand, Archers. Alongside its coffee programme, the café is also known for its farm-to-plate menu and community-focused spaces across the UAE.
