Opening soon, in Downtown Dubai
Dubai’s dining scene is about to welcome a new name this September as Le Guilan prepares to open its doors in Downtown Dubai. Bringing a contemporary interpretation of Persian cuisine, the independent all-day restaurant promises to blend the traditions of northern Iran with modern European culinary techniques in an elegant yet welcoming setting.
Located at DAMAC Maison Distinction overlooking South Ridge Park, the 100-cover venue takes inspiration from the lush Caspian province of Gilan, a region celebrated for its rich culinary heritage and warm hospitality. Rather than recreating the past, Le Guilan aims to capture the spirit of Persian manor houses, where food, music and conversation naturally came together.
Leading the kitchen is Chef Houman, whose menu combines authentic Persian recipes with the precision of classical French cooking. Expect dishes that stay true to their roots while embracing refined techniques and contemporary presentation.
Among the highlights are complimentary Bread & Black Butter served on arrival, slow-cooked Short Ribs finished with a dark chocolate jus, and a decadent Saffron French Toast made with saffron custard and caramelised to order. House-made pickles, preserves and relishes also feature prominently, paying homage to one of Persian cuisine’s most enduring traditions.
The interiors have been designed to feel like a modern Persian home, complete with layered textures, bespoke furnishings and a botanical terrace overlooking South Ridge Park, with views stretching towards the Burj Khalifa. Guests can expect everything from leisurely breakfasts and afternoon tea to evening dinners accompanied by live music on selected nights.
Founder Amir Asjodi says the ambition extends beyond serving great food, with Le Guilan conceived as a cultural destination where cuisine, art, music and hospitality come together to create memorable experiences.
With an opening scheduled for September 2026, Le Guilan looks set to introduce a fresh perspective on Persian dining to one of Dubai’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
