New beginnings for an old icon
Perched atop Eden House in Satwa, Moonrise is turning its attention to the city’s vibrant street food culture with a brand-new six-course tasting experience. Known for its intimate 15-seater format and boundary-pushing menus, the restaurant’s latest concept reimagines the bold, nostalgic flavours found across Dubai’s streets – this time through a refined, chef-led lens.
At the helm is Solemann Haddad, whose ever-evolving degustation menus have built Moonrise’s reputation as one of the city’s most intriguing dining experiences. This new chapter explores familiar street food staples transformed into elevated, multi-course creations.
Expect dishes that lean into nostalgia while embracing experimentation, with unexpected textures and inventive presentations that challenge the idea of what street food can be. It’s less about replication and more about reinterpretation – taking the essence of Dubai’s everyday bites and turning them into something entirely new.
Set on a rooftop in the heart of Satwa, Moonrise continues to offer a highly exclusive dining setup, with just 15 seats available per service. The chef’s table format ensures a personal, immersive experience, where guests can engage closely with the culinary process behind each dish.

The concept stays true to Moonrise’s ethos – spotlighting Middle Eastern ingredients and heritage while incorporating global influences and artisan produce sourced from around the world.
The six-course tasting menu has two seatings, each seating lasing two hours, running from Tuesday to Sunday between 5pm and 9:30pm. For those looking to experience Dubai’s street food in a completely different light, this is one reservation worth securing.
