Built by community
Jumeirah Johns Running Club and New Balance have teamed up for good. Support Local Legends, their joint initiative, has been rallying behind spotlighting local businesses that have been struggling with low sales, reduced footfall and overall operations during these past few difficult weeks.
Already a social club rooted in community, JJRC takes its neighbourhood-focused approach to a whole new level, along with New Balance Running, organising community runs in collaboration with a different local businesses suggested by we, the people.

This initiative is not just about F&B outlets – they’re going beyond the restaurants and cafes to include tailors, barbers, groceries, laundries and any kind of local businesses that may need a little extra help. These are the operations that keep our city moving, even when times get tough.
The runs take place on a weekly basis, and each spot is chosen by the JJRC team from the pool of nominations done by the community. So far, two volumes have been hosted, with To The Moon & Back Coffee and Maiz Tacos, with each of these venues offering special menu items and pricing to support the event.

The next volume will take place tomorrow, at Harummanis, spotlighting their Extended Table initiative. Diners are invited to enjoy an elevated Singaporean street food medley including a special item; Roti John – created for the club. With the first seating at 7pm completely sold out, a second seating has been added at 9pm.
This third volume will not be the last one – as long as the people keep recommending their favourite local businesses, JJRC will continue hosting these events. You can share your picks here.
